Testklang is a label for contemporary music.

From its inception in 2000 as a multi-media arts collective, Testklang has gone through a number of iterations as an improv platform, an electronic music lab, a recording cooperative, and a music production company.

After Testklang's experimental beginnings in the early 2000s with classical musicians, actors, and video artists in improvised settings, the project turned into a label with its first notable release Bunita Marcus Sugar Cubes in 2012.

Over the following years, the celebrated release was followed up by multiple others that all featured ambitious recordings in combination with filmic interpretations and extended design solutions, even individual limited artefacts per release.
