In 2020 the multi-disciplinary artist Joe Lichtenstein approached me with this beautiful animation film. We developed the score together over the following months, aiming for a consistent music and sound language. 

Joe’s animations are a place where static images are asked to move. As a stop frame series the static images become a kind of theatre. In line with that aesthetic traditional and prepared piano sounds became the basis for all sounding elements of the final score, including the sound effects.
